Another bluetooth peripheral device problem

Hello,

I'm trying to connect my new Nokia X6 phone to my new Dell n5010 and I get an error:

"bluetooth peripheral device cannot be found".

I looked all over the net and also in this fourm. I saw lots of post about it but didn't find even one good solution for windows 7.

Any body know about a way to solve this? Is there a chance that dell don't have a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Roy.

Hi Royzo

Sorry to read that you are having the problem with the phone.  The first things is that bluetooth doesn't ship with the notebooks by default, when purchasing the system did you order bluetooth with the system?

Assuming that the system does have bluetooth have you tested it with any other bluetooth devices?  If no devices work with the system you can count out the phone as part of the problem.  On the opposite side of the coin, have you verified that the phone works via bluetooth?

If it does look the system is where the problems lies,  here is a link for basic troubleshooting bluetooth issues.

A good starting point on the article discusses connection bluetooth devices.

So assuming both the phone and the PC hardware is fine here is a link from Nokia dicussing how to sync a phone to a PC.
