B120 wont work!

I recently bought an Inspiron B120- I was in the middle of doing something and the computer shut down, said it was "hibernating" and now won't turn on at all.  I have tried taking the battery out, just plugging the computer in to use it, and everytime I try to turn it on it shuts down!  Is it possible that the whole laptop is broken??  It is new!!  AND, Dell said it is no longer under warranty.......

Hi, it could be that the system is affected by a virus or it could be a heat issue.

Here are some things you can try.

1. Remove the battery and ac adapter then hold the power button for 5-10 seconds then try using the ac adapter and then the battery if it is charged

2. What you could do to isolate whether it could be a fan/heat issue. You could try running the full 32 bit diagnostics. by pressing FN and the power button to boot up to the diagnostic partition of your computer, you can also trigger the diagnostics by pressing the F12 provided that the harddrive you have is not broken, also check the ac adapter that you have it might have faults along the connection, you could try using another ac adapter from another inspiron B-120 if possible.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
