Using a 16GB USB flash drive usually creates a recovery "stick".
It isn't a backup of your hard drive.

Yes...excuse the terms..."recovery"..... Either way, why is there no files in the Windows Recovery folder ?

Take a screenshot of what is on your USB flash drive. Then maybe we can see what you are seeing.
