-Is the message that I get when I look at the battery diagnostic display.

 

This is an older Latitude CPi -PII 400, running Win 98 SE.

 

The battery is good, and charged, and works in other laptops (I refurbish these) The floppy/CD drive bay works... but the battery is "Not installed" in the battery, or modular bay.  - So, it looks as though something in the motherboard that realizes that a battery is in place is not functioning. -As I refurbish these,  I have plenty of parts. I want to know if anybody out there knows if this is a part that can be replaced, or where this part is... If it is something soldered on the Motherboard, I doubt I will bother, but is anybody familiar with this problem?
