BIOS Password Requirements

Where can I find the minimum requirements for the BIOS passwords---uppercase, special characters, length, etc.?

I am using the Dell CCTK and the process works great when the computer does not have a BIOS pw, but after I set one, the CCTK fails if I attempt to make any changes using the SCE. The logs show that the pw was incorrect, yet it works fine if I manually type it in the BIOS Security screen.

Also in the log file, I see the pw that was used in the SCE, and all of my original uppercase letters are shown as lowercase (in the logs). However, as a test, I typed the pw in Notepad and then copied and pasted into the "CCTK Create Configuration". That's the reason for the request.

Any ideas?
