Bios Upgrade Error

Question

I received a CD with a Bios Upgrade with my new Dell Battery.  The CD says Notice: Youj must use this CD to upgrade your computer BIOS.  Do I need to upgrade my Bios to use the new battery?   When I tried to upgrade I received the following error:   Make sure I4150A06.exe is in the current working directory.   I could not upgrade.  Should I upgrade and if so what do I need to do?

It is not necessary to upgrade your BIOS in order to use your battery.

Sometimes the latest version of your BIOS may contain enhanced and modified power management pertaining to battery usage hence it is supplied with your new battery.
