BIOS upgrade / power problem
Hey!
I have the Dell Inspiron 15 3542 laptop computer. Recently i upgraded my BIOS from the official dell support and download page. New version is "Dell Inc. A12, 13.05.2016". After i got the upgrade i couldn't turn on my computer just by pushing the power button. Instead i have to push and press the button, hold it for a couple of seconds, let it go and then push the button again to turn it on.
Is that a setting that i can change and restore it or is it something that comes with the new BIOS and it can't be changed?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Tomislav

chupakabra_0,
You can re-flash the bios to the previous bios that was installed. Click the link below and install bios version A11

When I downloaded the A11 version and tried to re-flash it, dialog box with the warning that Dell doesn't recommend reflashing to an older bios appears and it won't let me re-flash it. Is there an alternative solution?

Hey man, many 352 users have this problem
Dell also know about this problem, although no solution for me >read this
Inspiron 15 (3542), 14(3442), 17(5748) Running Windows 10 may not Shutdown, Resume From Hibernate, Sleep or not Power on
www.dell.com/.../inspiron-15--3542---14-3442---17-5748--running-windows-10-may-not-shutdown--resume-from-hibernate--sleep-or-not-power-on
I use Inspiron15 3542 and this problem disturb me for a long time. I learn by myself to press button force shutdown and reinstall battery before turn on.
This article seems to be helpful but I've already updated my firmware Intel Haswell ME FW v9.5.55.1948 update and the problem still exist!!!
someone suggest me to go back and use Windows8 but that's not what i want
DELL-Jesse L suggest you to re-flash but you unable to do that
Any more suggestion?
I can't continue force shutdown and reinstall battery everytime i want to turn on laptop
Thanks in advance
