Black Horizontal line on screen
Last week a small horizontal appeared on my laptop screen and has not gone away. it appears from at start up and and stays there.
No Events found!

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. Try connecting an external monitor to the system to check if you see that line. I also suggest you boot to safe mode, by pressing the F8 key at the Dell Logo on startup, and check if it appears in safe mode as well.

It still should up in safe mode but not on the external monitor

You'll need to replace the screen.
