Hi,

Welcome to the Community. It could be an issue with the memory since its stopping at Installation. I suggest you try reseating the memory, or just try using one memory stick when installing. Use the below link for help on reseating your memory.

support.dell.com/.../memory.htm

If you have not partioned your hard drive, you may want to try a PC restore, which restores the computer back to factory settings.

To Manually install Windows: support.dell.com/.../document

After installing windows check how to install drivers in the correct order, or some devices may not work properly. You can download them from support.dell.com, click on home users, drivers and downloads, enter your service tag, ( or system model ) to download list of drivers for your system.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Your Windows 7 install DVD may be at fault. If possible try it in another machine.

Hi,

Press the F12 key at the Dell Logo on startup, and select Diagnostics, and run an extended diagnostics on your hard drive. Post back with any error codes.

Thank you
