Bluescreen, and cannot find harddisk.

Hi there. I bought a dell xps m1530 about one month ago.

One day when I was just doing the regular stuff , but had to go afk, something really weird happened.

When I returned, my computer had this bluescreen, or "bluescreen of death" as my friend recalled it, with errors all over and stuff. I turned it off, and when I turned it on again, the computer could not find the harddisk.

I tried to call the support, but I don't really have time to wait for hours in queue.

I also sent a mail about five days ago, but I have not received a reply yet.

What should I do?

Call again - have them send a pre-imaged replacement drive for your failed hard drive.

Ermh.. Yeah, I could always try to call again.

But shouldn't I send my laptop to Dell so they can fix it?

To do that you must call.  They won't take a notebook back to replace a hard drive, which is a customer-replaceable part.

If you don't want to replace the drive yourself, call and buy an upgrade to onsite service.  A technician will be dispatched to your home or office and replace the drive for you.   Since it sounds like you can't afford to be without the system, that is what you should have done - and can still do.
