Hi swami12,
I request you to check if the Bluetooth is detected in the BIOS. Turn on the system, on dell logo press or tap on the F2 key every 2 seconds. In the BIOS screen, click on ‘Advanced’ tab and click on ‘wireless’ and next screen will show up as ’Internal Bluetooth’ ‘Enabled’, if the blue tooth is detected by the system, that confirms there is no issue with the hardware. Press ‘Esc’ to exit from BIOS screen and when the system comes up to the desktop, press F2 key to turn on and off the blue tooth.
I also suggest that you uninstall the Bluetooth software completely from the system. Install the Blue tooth driver from the given link below:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/inspiron-15-intel-n5010?s=dhs
Click on 'Network' and from the drop down list select the appropriate blue tooth driver for your system. While downloading, install directly, that is right click and run as administrator and not in compatible mode.
This should enable you to use the Bluetooth device.
Thanks and Regards,
Sujatha K
