There must be some BT device in the vicinity.........like a cell e BT ON etc........ my 1730's BT 3.55 module picks signals from my BT devices even from as far as 25 feet........so check......its nothing to do with sleep mode.....just a mere coincidence.

I've got exactly the same problem with my XPS 1330 / Vista Sp1
Anyone found a solution yet?

I have the same problem on my Studio 1735 (Vista SP1) but I have two 'Bluetooth Preipheral Devices' asking for drivers every time I boot up.
This started when I paired my Nokia N80 with the laptop.

1. Which drivers are you installing?
2. What does the BT device dispaly in the Device Manger..........Does it say Dell Wireless 355 Module e BT 2.0+EDR technology with trace filter?
3. How is the BT driver congigured?

The problem occoured when I tried to connect my phone via bluetooth using Nokia PC Suite & I then had unidentified unknown bluetooth devices.
I removed all unkown devices.
Uninstalled PC Suite.
Turned of ALL bluetooth devices except the phone.
Reinstalled PC Suite.
Connected my phone.
I can now use other bluetooth devices without the PC trying to install them.
