Bluetooth Peripheral Device

My Latitude 6430u is running Windows 7 64 Bit.  The Device Manager shows the following exception under Other Devices "Bluetooth Peripheral Device".  I was able to pair my Plantronics BT headset without an issue.  I have tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck.  I just rebuilt this machine so it is all clean although the problem existed prior to me rebuilding the machine.

For reference I installed the Dell Wireless 380 Bluetooth Application

File Name: Network_Application_9CP1N_WN_6.5.1.4000_A02.EXE

I have reinstalled the driver several times with no luck... I am about to upgrade to Windows 10 and would prefer to have everything running cleanly before I do so.

Thanks!

How to reinstall drivers in the correct order:

I like to suggest you update the System Setup(BIOS) before updating to windows 10:

Thanks very much.  I actually followed the specific directions for the Latitude 6430u on the Dell website and installed the drivers in the recommended order... Of course their initial "recommended" list only had 9 drivers/applications that needed to be installed plus the BIOS upgrade which I did as well.

After completing the installation of the initial list, I re-ran the Detect app and it produced a list of 19 or so drivers that needed to be installed including several that I already installed.  There was no order specified so I just installed them in the order listed skipping the ones I had already installed.

One challenge I faced when I installed the list of 19 was that the .NET Framework v4.5 was required for before I had installed the network drivers. I had to do a couple out of order in order to get the network up and running so I could install .NET v4.5.

I suppose I could reinstall all the drivers using the suggested guideline provided in the link you included.  Do I just start at the top and reinstall over the ones that I already installed or do I need to uninstall all the drivers first?

Another quick question... Do you suppose that there is a different version of the BIOS that I should install if I am going to upgrade to Windows 10 or is the one I installed already (its the latest I think) adequate?

Thanks!

According to your Dell Product Support page (Latitude 6430u), Dell list BIOS version A10,A10  for both windows 7 and 10. Please click on link below.

www.dell.com/.../advanced

You can check the BIOS current version on your computer by typing cmd in start menu search bar. In the ‘cmd’ result which appears, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator.Next type systeminfo in the command prompt and hit Enter.

You can also find system information on your computer by clicking All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and then System Information. Look for BIOS current version.
