Boot from SD Card
Hi all,
I have a DELL Vostro 5470. Is booting from SD CARD supported for this model? I am having a bootable sdcard and selected boot from removable disk options, but the system do not detect the installer from sdcard.
Am I doing it wrongly or the laptop does not support booting from sdcard.
Advise much appreciated.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
The Dell system BIOS are not designed to boot from the external SD card, it can boot from the optical drive, hard drive or USB device.

F12 Booting from SD is done via USB Adapter.
They are very inexpensive.

Hi Speedstep,
I managed to boot from SD, press F12, select UEFI boot options. You will see USB 1 and USB 2. USB 2 is for SDCard.
However, now I am facing a new problem. After installing Windows with my SDCard, Windows Boot Manager appear in my UEFI boot options but the USB1 and USB2 options is removed and replaced by NICv4 and NICv6. Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks.
Andy

Hi Andy,
I am sorry for the delayed response; please provide me the snap shot of the Windows boot manager.
