Broken Palmrest flex cable.

Question

Hi @ll, My system: Dell Latitude CPXH My problem: The Palmrest flex cable which connects the palmrest (TouchPad Speakers included) with the 'mainboard' is broken. I talked to the Dell Technical Support Germany and they could only send me a new Palmrest in exchange for my old one and this woud cost about 150 Euro because there is no warranty any more. They told me it would be cheaper to get the palmrest from another spare part contractor but they could not give me a contact to someone. The other possibility is to find s.o. with a not funktional latitude cpxh and ask him to cannibalize it. So is there s.o. who could help me? Thanks Oliver

I just did a search on ebay and found a lot of them. Welcome to one of the cool things about dell :) Saw one for 10 bucks even.

I also searched ebay but found nothing. But I only searched in ebay-Germany so after I searched in ebay-USA I found and bought a Palmrest.
