Buzzing Noise
When I use my Inspiron 8500 I hear a quiet high pitched buzzing noise. It sounds to be coming from under the keyboard (gets louder when I put my ear near the keyboard).

i get a high pitched buzzing noise on my 500m. it is not connected to the audio settings, ive tried muting everything, disabling various features, taking out the cd, running on battery etc. possibly something to do with the hard disk, as it doesnt seem to make the noise when there is hard disk activity?
the noise has a very slight gap every 3-10 secs, but not at set delays. i think this is what makes it so annoying, if it was a constant noise i could probably get used to it. ive tried the diagnostics and all suggestions that ive found on this forum, does anyone else hear it with a 500m? put your ear to the left side of the keyboard, i think its loudest there.
i would phone Dell and complain, but know it would probably not solve the problem and just increase my frustration.

I have a 500M and experiencing the same exact problem, buzzing noise from the left side of the keyboard and it goes away when there's hard disk activity. Why is dell so quiet about this?
