C & D drives

My laptop indicates a C drive of 58,5 GB and current free space of 520 MB.  Also a D drive of 229 GB and 225 GB free space,  I get messages that I am running out of storage.  I suspect the system does not recognize the D drive.

58,5 GB and current free space of 520 MB is less than 1 % left free.

I would try ccleaner to get rid of junk.  Save to D: and install then run to clean up.

Hi johnmontgo,

Please share the System Model and the Operating System installed. You are receiving this error message because the Windows is installed in Drive C and that is low on space. This indicates that by default all the data that you are saving is getting saved in Drive C.

I would recommend that you either increase the size of the Drive C or copy the saved data other than the Windows files to Drive D. You may refer to the video shared below for instructions on increasing the size of Drive C:

Note: The application used in the video is a third party utility, which is nor tested neither endorsed by Dell. Please backup the data before performing the suggested steps.

Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any questions.
