C600 Does not turn fully on
I have a wierd problem which is as follows:
C600 I know works cause I am randomly able to power it fully on. Last time the C600 was on, it turned off all of a sudden. Problem is that when I hit the power button, I see the 3 LEDs (num lock, caps lock, scroll lock) under power button light up for 2-3 seconds then turn off. On the right side, the power light comes on, and the hard drive light flashs once. Power light stays on for about 10-15 seconds then the c600 turns completely off. During this whole occurance, I hear a humming sound which is probably the hard drive spinning and the fans turn on. I KNOW THE SYSTEM DOES BOOT, GETS ME TO THE DESKTOP, LCD WORKS, just havent figured out why this happens yet. Driving me nuts.....

Hi,
You may have an int. MBD from the sounds of it. Test it as far as you can ie. removing all parts you can except memory and try again. Battery, CD, PCMCIA cards, HDD, miniPCI. Also see if " gentle " twisting of the case will change things.
