Try an external monitor. If the line disappears, the LCD panel is faulty - the only sure way to fix the issue is to replace the screen.

Many LCD problems can be repaired, but defective lines in the display usually cannot.

Your best bet is to contact and LCD repair specialist for a definitive statement, but expect that you're going to hear that replacing the panel is the only option. The symptoms point to a failure in the panel itself, not the electronics - the latter can usually be economically repaired; the former cannot.

I was talking with a computer engineer about my problem. After he saw the screan, because that line is blue he told me that the problem is with that thing in the LCD wich distributes the three main colors (red, green, blue) and the reason why the line is there is that this thing sends too much blue in that place.Actually tha line is wery tin but however, he told me that the LCD is ok only that controller or what is defective.
What is your oppinion? Is that right? Can this be repaird?

That thing sounds like your video card, have you tried reinstalling its Drivers.

Dell Diagnostics (get from Product Support; Downloads for your system, if you do
not have them on your HD or on diskettes) will also test your Video System
Hardware.

What the engineer ment to say it´s a PCBoard that's inside the LCD top cover, together with the inverter PCBoard and LCD.
Another thing that could cause this issue is the flat cable that comes from the LCD unit to the motherboard (try to close and open display, always looking at it to see if it changes).

It's very rare this issue to be caused by graphic card.

In this case you'll have to change the LCD unit (comes with flat cable and needed PCBoards and in some cases with LCD bezel and top cover)

P.S.: If your LCD unit it's an 14", you may change to 15"
