Cannot retrive DHCP address from specific subnet's

Hi! I have a strange problem. I have a Latitude D820. It was preinstalled with XP, but I have upgraded to Vista Business. Before Easter, everything worked fine. I plugged the tp-cable in the network adapter, and I got a new IP-address. In easter I downloaded the Embassy Security Center (the only thin I installed on the computer in that period), and started to use the fingerprintscanner, and other stuff that's in the package. When I came back to work, and I couldn't get a IP-address from the DHCP server at work (from Ethernet - not wlan). And the strange thing is that all others are receiving ip-adresses from the same server without problem. It is only me and my Vista. At other subnet's, I can receive IP-adresses dynamic. Both at work and home. It is only a couple of subnet that causes problems. If i boot up my machine with a Live OS like Knoppix, I receive a ip-address from the server, but not from Vista. So it cant be any problems with my mac-address (blacklisted). I can also switch from DHCP to static in Vista, and then it works fine (steal an address from the scope). Can Embassy Security Center cause any problems with this issue? Do you guys have any suggestions? What else can cause this problems? Machine: Latitude D820, 2 gb ram, 2 ghz cpu.. Regards Tore

I ran into the same problem with a Latitude D620 laptop running Vista Enterprise.

At first I thought the problem might have been caused by the DHCP Broadcast Flag issue documented in Microsoft KB article 928233, but the suggested registry changes had no impact.

Removing the EMBASSY Trust Suite and doing a custom install of just the Dell Security Device Drivers resolved the issue. It appears that the problem is caused by a component in the NTRU TCG Software Stack.
