Cannot update i915 Driver
Hi,
i cannot upgrade the i915 video driver with the official intel driver. It gives me a really stupid error messages which does not explain anything about what could have happened : The error is
"This driver cannot be installed on this computer. Please contact the computer's manufacturer for further information.". Looking around in forums i found out that probably this is due to dell configuring windows in a way you can update the drivers only from the official dell site... Well that would be ok, but then at least keep your own drivers up-to-date. I really need the new driver as it perhaps resolves an issue with eve-online crashing the i915 display driver to blue screen. Eve is the only reason why im using this stupid Microsoft OS anymore, so please can you give me any hint about resolving this problem? thx
