Cant access touchpad settings within touchpad driver
Hi, I'm trying to access the touchpad setttings for my latitude e6400 so I can avoid the problem of the cursor jumping around the screen while typing. I'd like to increase the speed of the trackpad, and also deactivate the mouse butttons directly below the spacebar. I'd also like to deactivate the joystick in the center of the keyboard.
I've downloaded the dell touchpad driver (twice now) and can not open either the "touchpad settings" window or the "scrolling settings" window. I click on the links, but nothing happens. No new window opens up. I know that I need to access the touchpad settings in order to increase the speed of the tracking on the touchpad. Other than that, I still haven't figured out how to disable the joystick or the mouse buttons below the spacebar.
Any thoughts on why I'm not able to access these parts of the touchpad driver?

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. I suggest your first uninstall the touchpad drivers and then reinstall it using the below link. To uninstall, click on start, right click on computer, click on properties, click on the symbol next to pointing devices, right click on the Dell Touchpad driver, and click on uninstall, click ok to confirm. Once its removed, click on the below link to download and install the driver, and then restart your computer.

After it restarts, click on start, control panel, mouse, click on the touchpad image to get the Touchpad Settings.
