Make sure the window is in full screen mode.  You know where the "X" is at the top right corner, and next to it is a square and a dash?  Click the button with the square which is the full page button.

If that doesn't do anything, check your screen resolution settings.  With your desktop in view, right click and go to properties, then settings.
