Certain windows display wrongly, image example included

After reformating my computer a while ago I noticed that many option windows were doing this:

if the picture does not show up, I will try to explain. The resolution of the contents inside some windows is to large for the actual window size, so you can not view all the options.

I have lived with this problem for a few months and it finally has gotten to the point where i want to fix it. I have tried downloading the latest ATI video drivers off of Dell, but that has not helped.

I then figured i had to download something from the displays option, but i dont know what my LCD screen is. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and my moniters part number is ND808.

1 ND808 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 15.4WXGA, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC., SAMSUNG

Under Drivers & downloads I see you can download something for Displays, but I dont know what the technical name of my moniter is, or even if that would help.

Any Ideas? and thank you for your time.

no, my DPI settings are still at 96 DPI, and I do not remember changing them ever.

in that case use the tab key to move down the window.

Have you set the DPI setting of your system to something other than the default 96 dpi (in Control Panel -> Display -> Advanced -> General -> DPI Setting)? Some programs do not understand that they have to draw larger windows when the DPI setting is modified.
