Change/Remove Owner's Name on Latitude CpiA

I need help in changing or removing the owner's name that is displayed at bootup. The original owner has tasked me with preparing the unit for transfer of ownership and insists that her name not be displayed. I have looked through all the materials she has (as the original owner) but can not find where or how her name came to be displayed. I think she is paranoid, but she will not allow the unit to go to a new owner with her name displayed if even only for a second or two. There are no password issues and the service tag is displayed correctly.

just to be clear, does her name appear in the screen just on startup or as a login for a windows user ?

I just have the same issue as I am buying batch of materials from a leasing company for reselling.
For all items from the last batch, on the boot screen, the text 'property of xxxx' is displayed on top of the Dell logo.
As the material is 3 years old nobody knows anymore about the history (was is configured by Dell or by the former leaser). I am investigating and if I can find a solution I will let you know. Best regards,

I found the answer. It was a matter of using the correct terms on the forum. DUH!

Read "Remove Company information from post screen" (11/28/2006) on this forum. I downloaded the latest version of ASSET.COM and resolved the issue. ( ftp://ftp.dell.com/utility/asset_A209.com)

My thanks to the_apostate for providing the answer to my question..
