Clipping Audio

Ok I am really getting frustrated, so someone please help me!

Anyways, my audio on my inspiron 6000 laptop is clipping badly every 10 to 20 seconds. It sounds horrible and is frustrating to listen to. I have looked into updating my dell drivers and my audio drivers and nothing works. What should I do?

If you have a TS-L462C drive the problem affects all of the audio.

Open Audio Properties (right click on the volume icon on the taskbar and click 'adjust audio properties', or go through the Control Panel/Sounds & Audio Devices Properties). Select the Hardware tab. Look for DVD/CDROM in the device column. The name of the drive should be there.
