Computer Clock Problem (yes i did a search)
I notice when my laptop is not plugged into the ac i notice that the clock is way off. If i set it at 8pm and take my lap top to another location and i get there around 9pm, it stays at 8pm and doesnt change until the power is on for the computer. What could be wrong? I did a SEARCH and some say it could be related to norton but i dont have norton and im running windows 2000 not xp. My friend said it could be the battery on the lap top motherboard??

Hello jdmblkctr,
Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,
I would suggest to check your time in the Bios (F2 during post) to verify If your cmos battery is the problem. If your system is losing time in the setup screen then your battery is the problem, If not this would be software related. Hope that this helps you.
Thanks,
Manh
