Connection Refused Error 102 unknown Error

I have a conncection to the home network, which includes Internet.  The connection is operative for all other computers on the network.  Suddenly my Dell Inspiron 1420 quit connecting to the Internet.  Says web page not available.  and gives the above referenced error.  This is using Google Chrome.  It also does not work using Internet Explorer.  Gives me the message that facebook.com is not set up to establish a connection on port www service  http with this computer.  Help!
