Connectivity

Question

Hi Folks,   Inspiron E1705 Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini Card   Verizon DSL- Ethernet connects fine. Westell Versalink model 327W (A90-327W15-06) No wireless connectivity. Verizon claims they can't locate the right software/drivers for the Westell. They tell me to call Westell for a specific driver as there are too many listed. Does this make sense yet? Is there a way I can use my old Linksys card which worked in my Inspiron 1150? How? ANyone have this problem and know what/where is the correct driver?   Will I have similar connectivity with other wifi (motels, Paneras bread, Starbucks, etc???)   Thanks for making ANY sense out of this.   Rich

you should be able to use your notebook with your wireless router from verizon.  You do not need any software to connect to the wireless router.  For now, just turn the security feature of the router off

Thanks to all!!! After spending countless hours on the phone with Verizon to download the said software--on a different pc!!! Thankful that I have a desktop!

Software finally updated the router. Did a system restore to a point where both ethernet and wireless card could do their thing!

Bay Wolf,   If not for your post I probably  would be still working on it. I shared your suggestion with Verizon. That is when gears started to mesh.   Thank You! Rich!!!
