I had the same problem starting on Oct 28th/29th on my D800. There was nothing worng with it and I didnt re-install windows. I thought that there was some problem with the hardware, but if it started on the same data, then it can be a virus. Can you please update this forum if you or anyone else knows the solution. I'll do the same if I get to solve it.
The beep started before this date, like two months ago. I thought the virus-like behavior was gone after I repaired windows, but the problem is still there. The address bar keeps opening and closing preventing me from clicking on the opened website links and microsoft word keeps adding spaces or copying current opened documents. If anyone had same symptoms, it would be helpful to tell about their experiences.
I tried to fix the sound by making sure that the RAM etc was in order. And the sound was gone when I restarted the laptop. But it did come back. Now I know that it is an issue with the keybaord cuz the volume goes down automatically. There is nothing wronth with the keybaord, so it should work. It may be the same for you.
