CPU LED light always on..
I have a Inspiron 1721 with Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit, and after re-installing the OS the other day, i've noticed that when the laptop is turned on the CPU led light is always on, like it would be used 100%. But opening the task manager shows a normal 2 - 5% on CPU usage. I have up-to-date drivers and Vista updates. I have tried several things to solve this with no luck (like opening closed system services) The only change i've made to the system was removing the RAID0 array and setting the BIOS to normal ATA/SATA. Any sugestion is welcome.

I think you are misinformed. There is no LED for CPU Usage. Normally three LEDs:
1.) Power On. Green Should be on solid when the notebook is on.
2.) Hard Disk Activity. Green Lights and flashes as the hard drive is active.
3.) Battery Status. Illuminates green normal/charging, Flashes amber/green fault code, and Red for a fatal error.

...right! stupid of me not to check the manual first.. THANKS for the fast reply. You got me out of the fog..
I guess that the RAID controller made the LED to flash when heavy disk activity, and i supposed it was the CPU.. silly me. Thanks again.
