CPU Test (Project)

Question

Ok, for the past week I have been getting many replies saying that if the screen doesnt go on, and the computer doesnt boot up, it has to be the main board. Well after using 3 different main boards I have a different idea. I would like for you to take your laptop and remove the processor. When you do this what happens? Well, you dont have to do that but I would greatly like to know how the computer turns on. Such as: the screen doesnt come on, or the led lights work but nothing else does. I'll warranty one thing. It will not POST or Boot with the CPU removed.   pcgeek11

Power on self test- the system won't even start up with no CPU.

OK, thats great news. But did the power light go on? maybe even the hard drive light?   If any ofe those then I will buy the cpu today.   Thanks!!
