CPU Usage / STATUS~1.EXE

I'm having CPU usage on my D800 jump and stay at 90-100% after 2 hours of use all the time.  After looking in the Task Manager I see the application STATUS~1.EXE running at 99%.  I run all the virus scans, Reg cleaners etc. but can't figure out what that app relates to.  I thought it was my Logitech mouse but reverted back to a older setpoint but no joy.  I've got a 1GB or ram in my system.  Anyone had this or know of a solution or what that app is?
