D420 dual monitor support?

I see the D420 ultraportable supports the D/Dock line of expansion docks. I currently have a D600, which is able to drive my two 21 inch lcds while in dock. Can the D420 drive two monitors while docked with the screen lid closed? Ideally, it would support 2405fp (1900x1200) and the 2001fp (1600x1200) though I know that's asking alot.

I dont know about those resolutions but I am currently using my D420 in the media base hooked to two 19" ultrasharps at 1280x1024 and it is excelent.

you just have to disable the internal display and it will automatically recognize thw first display.  Then just open video props and tell it to extend onto the second display.

Mine defaults to analog and extnds onto the digital display.

I went ahead an bought the D620 laptop with the larger of the two D-Dock media bases. I had intended to plug in a video card to drive my two monitors, but apparently the D-Dock only supports video cards with 100w or less of power draw. Alas, much to my surprise, the D620 supports both monitors (2405 and 2007) using the two video ports (DVI and VGA) on the D-Dock. Full resolution. I don't know if the D420 would work for this resolution, but it sounds like Ryan had some success.

It's just PCI, and it supports only about 100watts. Most video cards use more. Mine did and it was 3 years old. I think the slot is more intended for a usb card or something. Too bad. So yes, the laptop is using it's own video card to drive the monitors. +b

Im on the media base using the internal video card.

I havent really looked much into the docking stations.  The big one allows you to plug in another video card?  What kind of port is it?  PCIe?

That makes me curious because methinks I could do some more video hungry things on my d420 if I could run an external vidcard.  Gaming on an ultraportable, haha.
