I read about 100 of the posts here and I still have a couple of questions.

OK.  Hitting tab in this program is a bad idea...back to my questions.

1.  I can only set my laptop display (the built in one) to 1024x768.  Thats bad...why is that?
2.  Assuming I can only set my display to 1024x768 because that is all the display is able to do, then how do I verify what display that I have?
3.  The driver for my display simply says plug and play, instead of a model number.  Is this the best driver that I can/should be using.
4.  My picture on the display is pretty bad...any other suggestions on how I can improve that other than changing the font size.

1. 1024x768 is standard XGA and D810's could also be ordered with SXGA 'High Resolution'
this allows you to see more, but everything is smaller and some complain about that.

2. Look on Start; Help and Support for specs of your unit, should also be in BIOS Setup
and System Hardware.

3. This is a link to your Dell Downloads & Drivers for a D610,
they list four different Video Drivers, install the one for Your Video Card (look at 2.)

4. With proper Driver, there should be many settings to fiddle with in Display Properties;
Settings, Advanced (check that "normal 96dpi" is set) as well as within your Video Card tab on 'Advanced'.
