D630 O2Micro OZ776 USB CCID Smartcardreader
We have trouble with the internal smartcard readerod D630. We are using smartcard for logon on Windows. The Software is called ActiveClient from Active Identity.
With a external cardreader everythink works fine also with other Notebook from Dell (D600, D610). But with the D630, Windows XP Sp2, Driver Version 1.1.3.9 O2Micro (Dell) we get a IOCTL failure:
Source: SCardSvr
Smartcardreader "O2Micro CCID SC Reader 0" refuse IOCTL Power: Smartcard could not reset
Active Identity say that this is a Driver Issue of Dell.
Does someone have the same failure?
Thanks

I am having the same issue. ActiveClient will work once, but then the same error will pop up. When I insert a CAC card it will flash as if it recognizes it, but then instantaneously it goes away as if nothing is inserted. I am starting to run into this issue on a few laptops of different varieties. I am going to try the new driver revision A04 to see if that fixes anything.

SOLUTION:
This forum led me to CNET where I downloaded and installed the latest OZ776 driver
[O2Micro OZ776 USB CCID Smartcard Reader 1.1.4.202]
All now seems well but should I have any issues I will come back and post.
