Call Dell for a warranty replacement of the system board.

Dang, I was hoping it would be something not quite so severe. Guess I gotta get my local LAN support involved, lovely I avoid doing that like the plague. hehe

Just thought I would drop a message here and give an update, just in case others have the same issue. I called Dell support and was pleasantly surprised at the expertise and the thoroughness of the tech. After about 45-60 mins on the phone he agreed it was the motherboard, and dispatched a ticket to have it replaced. Once the tech had replaced the motherboard all of the problems went away, boots first time everytime and standby and hibernate work wonderfully!!
