Here we go again ;-)

See the sticky thread at the upper half of the first page of this forum section called "New Vostro 1500 laptop keys hestitate"  or click here: http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&thread.id=257203

Basically what it will tell you is to disable the loading of PCMservice.exe that occurs when booting up.

I can't believe tech support is still clueless on this.

I was a bit curious about this, as I had sold a few Vostro's a few months back, and recall them having that strange delay when typing.

It was good to see there was a "solution", so if my clients complain, at least I can fix it!

I would suggest, though, to the moderators, that the sticky that is referenced be changed so the first or second message of the thread contain the latest up-to-date info for a fix.  Do we really need to read through 11+ pages just to determine what may fix it and that Dell hasn't really figured it out yet?

WOW! Thank You Jeff!!! This worked like a charm. What a difference, now if I can get my sound card to work my little laptop just might be back to normal again.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again!

Glad I could help with the keyboard lag. Sorry, I don't know what to do about he audio problem.

Just wondering, is this a new notebook that come with these problems, or have you had it for a while, and the problems just developed?  I seem to remember having the keyboard lag problem from the start.
