Dell 3521 Screen Issues
Hi , My screen got cracked a few weeks ago , so Had to replace , I brought a second had screen from Ebay which i fitted and everything worked fine , But everything i went to switch it on the screen flickers black and laptop beeps 8 times , I take the screen off and fiddle about with the connector and it works , after a few days of doing this the cable broke so had to replace the whole lcd cable from the moherboard. Again everything worked fine but it has come back again, Any idea what this could be of how to fix.

Thanks Robert , with the 8 beeps will i still be able to connect to an external screen as i have tried via HDMI and nothing happens , it has only happened since i restarted the laptop ,screen looks like its got pixals all over it, If i disconnet and reconnent the screen it sometimes works but as i said the last time i kept doing this the cable broke so needed replace. Do you think the screen could have a faulty connecter ?

Thanks for posting in the Dell Community.
Generally 8 beeps indicate it is the LCD screen or LCD cable failure. Please connect an external monitor and check if the issue persists. If you are able to see an image on the external monitor, then even though it's new, the lcd may be defective.
