Slow compared to what?  It all depends on what applications you are going to use.  If you are going to surf the internet, use Office type programs, listen to music and watch an occasional DVD, then NO it is not slow.
 
If you are going to do Video editing or Intensive graphics (not playing with MS Paint),  then YES, it will be slow.
 
It just depends.

well i am just a college student and don't think i will be doing any kind of editing, but i will use the internet quite a bit.  What about gaming would it be slow for that.

That also depends on what game you are playing and what video card you are using.  For intense CPU/Graphic games, you will not like that combination.  If it is not, you should still be okay with a good video card.

I don't play alot of games i just really want my internet to be fast.  The only editing i do is powerpoint presentations.  So you think i will be ok.
