Dell audio with preset switch button
I did a complete reset of my notebook Inspiron 17R. I formated my harddisk and reinstalled windows 7 home premium witgh all the software I needed.
Since then the Dell audio with preset switch button does not work. Which driver do I need to use that function?

Hi Alfrado,
To activate the 'audio preset button' please install 'Quickset Application' for your laptop from Dell support website. There are 3 laptop models that are branded as 17R. You may follow the steps listed below to access the 'drivers and downloads' section for your laptop:
- Click http://dell.to/YFr4GW to access the 'drivers and downloads' section on Dell support website
- Enter system 'service tag' and tap < Enter > (All drivers and applications for your laptop are listed on this page)
- Expand 'Applications' category
- Download and install 'Quickset Application' to activate 'audio preset button'
Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.

Hi Alfrado,
It appears that there is an audio driver conflict; please try re installing audio drivers and quickset application to see if that works:

Thanks for your advices.
I did all your tips and found out during instalation, that this Quickset Application was already installed. Now after the second installation the following happens, when I press the button: "install your audio driver, before you push this button".
But in the device manager I don't have any warnings about problems. The laptop also plays music, sounds etc. I don't know, which audio drivers I should yet install. Sorry for my english, german is my first language.
