Many thanks for your prompt and comprehansive reply. I followed all the instructions. The Bluetooth on the computer worked fine with my phone. I ended up replacing the batteries and it works fine....every time.
If possible test with another Bluetooth devices and see if there are any problems with them. Try to verify if the problem is following the mouse or the notebook. Check the notebook itself to make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
Make sure the following conditions have been met:
Fresh batteries are installed in the other Bluetooth device.
The Dell Wireless Bluetooth adapter is installed in the computer.
The latest driver for the Bluetooth adapter is installed; if unsure refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article:
"How to Download and Install a Driver"
The Bluetooth device you are going to pair is within 30 feet (10 meters) of the computer.
Put the mouse in discovery mode
Starting with the Bluetooth device off, press the power switch located on on the bottom of the mouse.
Find and press the button located on the bottom of the mouse in the upper-right corner.
The Bluetooth LED on the top of the mouse blinks when in discovery mode and is off when not in discovery mode.
Check to see if the mouse is detected by the notebook. If so test the mouse.
Please let me know what you find out. Does other Bluetooth devices work fine, where you able to get the mouse working again with no errors and a moving cursor, you can't get any Bluetooth devices to work correctly?
