Do I have to do anything in the BIOS when i tap F2

Could you please find out a way for me to change my boot logo for my Inspiron 5420. The windows 8 metro logo which is currently my boot logo is very boring. What I meant my by windows 8 metro logo is this :

Please teach me how to get back the DELL Boot Logo :

I updated my BIOS to A16 but still i wasn't able to get back the dell logo to my boot. The dell logo is only previewed when the bios is loading.

You may update the system BIOS. Please share the system model and we will take it further from there.

I have another problem, how do i get the dell logo in my system properties and i hope there is a solution for the earlier question ( The Dell Boot Logo ) and this question too.

Please advice me and teach me about it and I hope there would be a method to change the boot logo to DELL logo like what is posted above........

You may reset the BIOS to default settings. Please follow the steps below:

• Power on the system and tap ‘F2’ at the ‘Dell’ logo
• Press ‘F9’ on the ‘System Setup Utility’ screen and then press ‘Enter’
• Press ‘F10’ and press ‘Enter’ again

I have reset the BIOS to the Default settings. The BIOS is now fine. But the boot logo is still showing the windows 8 metro logo and the dell logo is also not previewed in the system property.

Please share the source from where you reinstalled Windows 8. Is it from an OEM disk, recovery media or from anywhere else?

I have bought a new original windows 8 CD. I reinstalled my PC with that cd.

For my boot logo could you upload the file or give me a solution

The Dell logo is not showing while booting the system or in system properties as you have installed Windows 8 from the retail disk and not from Dell OEM disk. You may try third party applications like ‘Window Blinds’ from ‘Stardock’. Dell has neither tested nor recommend using these applications.

OK. I think I found out something that i had to setup the UEFI in my laptop. I have found in some websites that the  boot logo only appears when the UEFI is configured in my laptop.

There are no registry changes that can bring back the Dell logo as the Windows is installed from the retail disk. As I informed earlier, there are third party applications using which you can put ‘Dell Logo’ while booting up instead of 'Windows Logo'.
