Dell inspiron n7110 screen
I had to replace my friends laptop screen because he cracked his, after I install the new screen and boot it up it loads a disorted looking dell boot screen and then bios will beep 8 times informing me that I have a LCD malfunction. I have checked all the cables and wires over and over but I cant seem to figure out what is causing it to not want to boot up still. Anyone have any suggestions? I am also including pictures of what the screen looks like. the first one is on the actual laptop, the second is with an external monitor.

Is there any way to tell if it screen isnt compatible without ordering another new screen?

If the screen isn't identical to the original, the highest probability is that the one you purchased isn't compatible with the system.

If it's not the exact same screen you had, it's incompatible.
