Dell PC Restore

Dear All,

PC Restore restores hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer. According to the instruction,

1 Turn on the computer.
During the boot process, a blue bar with www.dell.com appears at the top of the screen.

My problem is that after I installed Linux this BLUE BAR disappeared. So how could I possibly completely reinstall my windows xp to the state i was in when I purchased.

Thank you,

Thank you very much. I got Blue bar back now. However when I press Ctrl+F11, it says CAN NOT RESTORE. Have I destroyed the partition hosting retore information when I install linux? How can I get Ctrl+F11 work now? I have tried a clean install from CD, it does not start as the system thinks current one is newer than the one in CD.

Thank you for your further help.

you need to boot from the xp cd and not try to reinstall whilst in windows itself!
