Dell Studio 1458 Eject Button Is Not Working!
Hi there members of Dell Community :)
I would like to clarify the problem, why I am not being able to use my eject button located on the keyboard to eject CD/discs out of my system?
Do I need a specific driver or something? If so it would be very nice of you to give me a download link to that paticular driver :D
And as for my system specifications here they are:
- Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
- BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73Ghz (8 CPUs), ~1.73GHz
- Memory: 6144MB RAM
- DirectX Version: DirtectX 11
- Display : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 (Approx. Total Memory: 3794 MB
Then for the CD Drive it says: (BD-ROM Drive (E:)
- HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA10N ATA Device. (Type: DVD/CD-ROM drives)
- SAMSUNG HM641JI ATA Device. (Type: Disk Drives.)
Thanks for your time reading this and for your kind answer :D

I figured it out! After finding another forum on the same subject, here is what I found. It was the Quickset app under the Applications tab that made it work! Read Below:
You'll most likely need to download the drivers for that functionality
first, make sure you have the chipset drivers installed, then install the Quickset Application (this is under the Application tab). This application is unfortunately needed for those touch-sensitive buttons.

Thank you for your answer rollydrew.
I don't know whether it worked or not because I'm no longer using Dell. Anyway, I hope that, the answer you provided helps some one who is having the same problem as I did :D
Thanks.
