dell studio xps help!

Question

Hi I am looking at this laptop: dell studio xps15.6in FHD 1080p screen, i7-840QM 1.86 - 3.2 turbo boost, win 7 pro, 8 GB ddr3 1333MHZ ram, bluray, ati mobility radeon HD 5730 1 GB, 500GB 7200rpm hd  It will used for cad programs such as revit and Photoshop etc, Just a quick question whether the laptop supports triple channel memory?, would it be possible to add another 4 gb to make a total of 12 Gb RAM?, apparently these processors are made for triple channel ram yet it doesn’t say so. If anyone could clear that up for me that would be great thanks.

The top-of-the-range models Studio XPS 1645/1647 can take a maximum of 8GB RAM. This limit applies regardless of whether there are two or three sockets.
