Dell vostro 1000 warning message
Dear All,
I have a dell Vostro 1000 which is 2 yrs old , when i start the computer, I get a warning message , saying ,
"This system will not charge the battery"
" The battery cannont be identified"
I am not aware if this is a battery issue or a bios setting
Any help is appreciated

Thanks for your reply, but when i pulg in the adapter to the laptop, it works fine as normal, I agree that the battery life has detoriated and it does not hold up for a longer time anymore.

Given that the normal lifespan of a battery is about 18-24 months, I'd say you are due for a replacement battery.
