when i bought my xps i did not order it with bluetooth. is there any way that i can buy the bluetooth that dell uses or something like that and plug i into the bluetooth port under the media pannel? i dont want to use the ones that you can buy at the store (the usb ones).
Hi colinw3e!
I did the same misstake as you, I forgot to order the BT card... :-) I talked to the seller and he said I could order the BT-card and mount it myself.
The BT-card is mounted under the "central control cover", = the black plastic cover where the touch buttons are placed. I can send you some docs and pictures via mail or "PM" if its possible in this forum.
I have been working with repair of electronics in many years, so I am used to it. It wasn't easy to bend up the plastic cover (I used a plastic knife) and if You don't are familiar to this kind of work, I would recommend you to let Dell or a PC technician to do it.

There's no reason why you can't do that. Just make sure the cable to connect the bluetooth card is there to use. If not, here is the part number:
XR851 Bluetooth Cable, M1530
This has to be ordered straight from Dell. Call Spare Parts at 1-800-372-3355
Here's the link to order the card itself: XPS M1530 bluetooth card<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>
Here's the link to your service manual if you need any help: XPS M1530 service manual
