Driver
ProblemDescription:
initially in my laptop desktop mode battery charging can't be enabled(there will be a mild check box which can't be marked).then i tried updating quickset64. Then it can be enabled temporarily. When i start the computer again then desktop mode charging again can't be enabled. Please guide me how to install that driver properly.
Troubleshooting:
i uninstalled existing quickset and re-installed it.again the same problem!
The system although shows the ‘Desktop Mode’ settings, it will stay greyed out as the system itself do not support these options. That is the reason you are not able to use the ‘Desktop Mode’ for battery.
Please feel free to reply for any further questions. I will be glad to assist you.
It used to happen with batteries earlier. However, this has long been taken care off. The batteries these days are designed in such a way that they automatically stops charging once they reach 100%, so you do not have to worry about that.
Please feel free to reply for any further questions. I will be glad to assist you.

hello Amogh,
I updated the BIOS with your link.Again the same problem persists.I can only temporarily enable Desktop mode charging option.
I don't know whether it is even temporarily enabled because the battery charged to 100% when it is enabled. And the option can't
be enabled when i restarted the system.

hi Amogh,
I heard that charging battery to 100% frequently damages battery life. Is there any other way to stop battery from charging to 100% when
plugged in.
